Nervous 2 Beach Party

» July 23, 2009

internet_front

It’s summer 2009, and a big one for Nervous. In June Nervous Summer All-stars at Harrahs was huge, with Oscar G, Tom Stephan, Peter Bailey and Theo drawing more than 3000 fans to AC for an amazing night in the Harrah’s pool/club. July 26 is Nervous Beach Party 2, with Oscar G, Ralph Falcon and Theo blasting off at the Neptunes Beach Club in the Hamptons. The Oscar G/DJ cd/dvd was released in May to huge acclaim. Theo’s Summer Clubbing 3 CD has become the “must-have” release of the season. Upcoming CD releases are more of the quality, no-compromise packages that Club Music lovers have come to expect. Watch out for Danny Krivit/718 Sessions out September 2009, Mind Control/Addicted out October 2009, Frankie Knuckles/Motivation Too out November 2009, plus new albums from UK stars Tom Stephan and Chris Lake. Also…nervous t-shirt line is back! Merchandise will be available at all upcoming Nervous events.

An Interview with Oscar G

» July 23, 2009

REVMiami welcomes guest contributor Cary Garcia.  A couple of months ago I received an email from the management of world renowned house/techno DJ Oscar G about an interview and review of his latest album.  Cary, who is a personal friend of mine, is a huge fan of house/techno music and the perfect person for the job.  Hopefully she will be contributing more and more about Miami’s house/techno music scene and culture. – Ed.

Crazy – Chris Lake

» July 23, 2009

In 2006 Chris Lake exploded onto the American club and dance radio landscape with his song Changes, which defined a electro-influenced, soulful sound that has since been the standard bearer for vocal dance tunes in the US that can work both on the radio and in clubs. His follow-up single Carry Me Away was massive as well, hitting the number one spot on the Billboard Dance Airplay Chart. At the same time, Chris is one of the most respected dj/producers repping the more progressive side of dance, creating classic collaborations with Deadmau5 and Sebastien Leger, and maintaining a consistent dj schedule in which he plays the top venues in the world. For his debut album, Chris has managed to combine the best of his many talents, including underground bombs like Word and Aqualight with radio hits like Changes, Carry Me Away, Only One and his next chart topper, If You Knew featuring vocalist Nastala.

DJ – Oscar G

» July 23, 2009

Oscar G’s roots lie firmly in dance music history, but as any artist, he’s not comfortable with letting the voices of the past speak alone. His first fans came due to his smash success with Funky Green Dogs, then on to Murk with venerable Ralph Falcon as production partner (“Fired Up” hit #80 on the Billboard Hot 100), and now as solo artist who constantly, and consistently, collaborates with new artists. Always with an ear to the ground, looking for those new beats and sounds, as well as with heart firmly in Latin-fused House, Oscar G delivers yet again.

A seminal work from Oscar G. He is a world-class dj that has built his reputation on the substance of his music and ability, not just his image. Filmed and recorded live from Space Terrace during one of his infamous Sunday morning afterhour sessions.
