Mind Control – Nervous Nitelife: Addicted
» October 28, 2009“To control mind, body and soul through music” is what DJ/producers Peter Bailey & Richie Santana set out to do every time they perform, whether it’s solo, or together as seamlessly as if they were one. Named after their peak-hour Stereo Productions smash of the same name, the duo’s Mind Control residency started in late 2006 at world-famous nightclub Pacha New York. Remixes like Santana’s white label version of the Eurhythmics’ “Sweet Dreams” and Bailey’s remix of Nelly Furtado’s “Say it Right” have throbbed at clubs from Montreal to Ibiza.

Tom Stephan – Nervous Nitelife
» October 28, 2009Always a crowd favorite, Tom Stephan is also the DJ’s DJ. Bolstered by support from Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, Pete Tong (who named “The Revolution” Track of the Year) both Tom’s production and DJ-ing have made him a house legend. Now, the in-demand DJ travels the world and is a regular at venues like Ministry of Sound in London, Pacha in NYC, Amnesia in Ibiza, and ageHa in Tokyo.
Tom’s latest originals – “Turn That Shit Up” (for Southern Fried) and “Lights Out” (with Pete Gleadall for Nervous) – reflect his newest inspirations: the electro sound of the UK and the new Dutch sound. “It’s got a sexy Latin feel on the bottom and tons of squeaky electro energy on the top, and it’s structured in a very fast paced way,” he says. “That’s what I love about it.”
This latest mixed compilation epitomizes Tom’s energy in his sets, as well as his love of the DJ craft.
