Junior Vasquez – Demented (Junior’s Nervous Breakdown 2)ni

» May 28, 2010

Junior epitomizes the word legend. He is the most famous and influential DJ/producers of our time. From his early days

His early productions (together with Shep Pettibone) would prove to be huge club successes, setting him up for his legendary runs at Sound Factory and then Twilo. Artists such as Destiny’s Child, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Prince, Pet Shop Boys, and of course, Madonna, have all had remixes or even co-production by Junior.

Today, he remains fervently present as a marquee remixer, most recently for Britney Spears and P!nk.

“Demented” is the pure vibe of Junior’s ability to find underground gems and stitch them together with huge anthems to electric effect. Full of eclectic electronic landscapes, this mix represents the rises and falls and determination of the world’s most famous DJ, Junior Vasquez.

Tom Stephan – Nervous Nitelife

» October 28, 2009

Always a crowd favorite, Tom Stephan is also the DJ’s DJ. Bolstered by support from Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, Pete Tong (who named “The Revolution” Track of the Year) both Tom’s production and DJ-ing have made him a house legend. Now, the in-demand DJ travels the world and is a regular at venues like Ministry of Sound in London, Pacha in NYC, Amnesia in Ibiza, and ageHa in Tokyo.

Tom’s latest originals – “Turn That Shit Up” (for Southern Fried) and “Lights Out” (with Pete Gleadall for Nervous) – reflect his newest inspirations: the electro sound of the UK and the new Dutch sound. “It’s got a sexy Latin feel on the bottom and tons of squeaky electro energy on the top, and it’s structured in a very fast paced way,” he says. “That’s what I love about it.”

This latest mixed compilation epitomizes Tom’s energy in his sets, as well as his love of the DJ craft.
